Force India's Fernley and Green speak out against plans to cut Friday running

Formula One’s smaller teams have aired their opposition to the proposed plan of the F1 Strategy Group to reduce Friday running in a bid to cut costs. As revealed on Friday, the Strategy Group – made up of Formula One’s top teams – Red Bull Racing, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Lotus and Williams – has agreed to cut running down to just a single 90-minute practice session on Friday, late in the afternoon, rather than the two sessions spread across the day under the current format.
