Others' mistakes secured fourth for Button

Getty Images Enlarge Jenson Button believes McLaren did not have the pace to finish fourth on merit at the Canadian Grand Prix, but said he took advantage of mistakes by fellow drivers to move through the field in the final stint. Button was ninth with 15 laps remaining but made up five positions before the chequred flag, two of which came when Felipe Massa crashed into the rear of Sergio Perez at the start of the final lap. He also made up two positions on the last lap when Fernando Alonso in front of him attempted a move on Nico Hulkenberg.
