Alonso: Ferrari can catch up with Red Bull

Fernando Alonso is confident that Ferrari can catch up with Red Bull Racing and finish the 2014 season second in the constructors' standings. The Maranello-based outfit has suffered a difficult start to the year and is currently third in the championship, 171 points behind run-away leaders Mercedes and 52 behind Red Bull. Despite Alonso finishing 14 seconds behind race winner Daniel Ricciardo at the Canadian Grand Prix last weekend, he believes Ferrari can cut the gap. 'I'm an ambitious driver and I try to help my team,' he said. 'My ambition now is to try to help my team get second in the Constructors' Championship. We lost lots of points but we will try to recover as soon as possible....
