'Formula 1 scraps reduced practice plan'

– Formula 1 has reportedly scrapped plans to reduce its practice programme from the 2015 season.According to German publication Auto Motor und Sport, nearly all cost-saving proposals were abandoned during the latest meeting of the Formula 1 Commission, staged at Biggin Hill, South East London, on Wednesday.A reduced Grand Prix weekend was first suggested earlier this month, with the basic idea to push Thursday's traditional media activities over to Friday mornings and hold just one 90-minute session late in the afternoon.But the commission, which comprises teams, race promoters, the FIA and FOM, has allegedly opted against it.In a separate development, Formula 1's proposed tyre...
