Sebastian Vettel is hoping Sunday's Austrian GP will be better than his qualifying showing after finishing down in 12th place. The reigning World Champion was lacking in pace throughout the proceeding practice sessions and it was more of the same in Saturday's qualifying. Clocking a 1:09.801 in Q2, he finished with the 13th fastest time but will start Sunday's race at the Red Bull Ring 12th on the grid due to Sergio Perez's penalty.
