Claire Williams has admitted that she always expected Mercedes to win the Austrian Grand Prix, despite her team’s cars locking out the front row during qualifying. Felipe Massa took his first pole in over five years on Saturday, pipping his team-mate Valtteri Bottas to the top spot in the dying moments of qualifying to secure Williams’ first 1-2 grid start since the 2003 German Grand Prix.
