Alonso – I want trophies not respect

Fernando Alonso says that the plaudits he has received over his performances in recent years mean little if he cannot win races, the 33-year-old stating that he would trade all of his respect if it meant he could have more trophies. Alonso joined Ferrari in 2010, but he is still yet to add to the two world titles he achieved with Renault in 2005 and 2006, despite being regularly considered as the most complete driver in the field.
