McLaren haven't given up hope yet

Ron Dennis maintains McLaren will continue to develop their 2014 car even though they are at a clear disadvantage to some teams. McLaren started the season brightly in Australia, where they claimed two podium finishes after Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification, but have struggled since then and are currently down in sixth place in the Constructors' Championship after eight races of the season. However, Dennis - who returned to the F1 team at the start of the year as Group CEO - insists they that they don't see this season as a complete write-off.
