Rosberg and Ricciardo escape FP1 penalties

Daniel Ricciardo Nico Rosberg and Daniel Ricciardo escaped penalties after they were cleared after overtaking cars during a red flag period in FP1 on the opening day of the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone have both been cleared after overtaking other cars during the red flag period of Friday's opening practice session at Silverstone. Rosberg overtool Daniil Kvyat, while Ricciardo passed Fernando Alonso, in the aftermath of Felipe Massa's crash on the exit of Stowe which resulted in the red flags.
