Marussia’s Jules Bianchi has labelled Saturday as a “fantastic day” after he claimed the team’s best ever result during qualifying for the British Grand Prix. Bianchi, who secured Marussia its maiden points finish in Monaco earlier this year, revelled in the changeable conditions prevalent during qualifying to secure a career best position of 12th on the grid for Sunday’s race.
Not only is it a career highlight for the Frenchman, but 12th on also marks Marussia’s best ever result in qualifying, after five years of competing in Formula One.
