Raikkonen bruised after Silverstone shunt

Ferrari have said that Kimi Raikkonen sustained bruises to his legs after he crashed heavily on the opening lap of Sunday’s race in Great Britain.The Finn brought out the red flags after losing control of his car on the Wellington Straight and striking the barriers with an impact measured at 47G. The 34-year-old was pictured limping away from his badly damaged F14 T following the accident, but Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci has said that Raikkonen sustained no serious injuries: “The most important news right now is that Kimi is alright, even though the impact with the barriers was a heavy one.
