Raikkonen out of Silverstone test

Ferrari have confirmed that Kimi Raikkonen will sit out the Silverstone test as he recovers from his crash at the British Grand Prix. The 2007 World Champion smashed into the barriers on the opening lap and the team confirmed that he suffered bruising to the ankle and knee but X-rays confirmed no broken bones. The Finn was due to be behind the wheel of the F14T for the first day of Silverstone testing on Tuesday, but the Italian squad have now confirmed that development driver Pedro de la Rosa will take his place. Marussia driver Jules Bianchi, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, will be in action on Wednesday.
