Pirelli releases 18-inch concept image

Pirelli has released images of the 18-inch concept tyres that it will be testing at Silverstone on Wednesday. Paul Hembery confirmed on Friday that the in-season test would be used to trial the concept in order to show what 18-inch tyres would look like on modern F1 machinery. Ahead of the tyre's appearance on Wednesday, Pirelli has released two renderings of the low-profile tyre. Lotus will be running the concept tyre on day two of the Silverstone test as part of its day of tyre testing, with Charles Pic at the wheel. Ferrari and Marussia are carrying out tyre testing for Pirelli on Tuesday.
