Toro Rosso: We didn’t achieve much in terms of real testing

Jean-Eric Vergne The third in-season test got underway today at Silverstone in warm and humid conditions. Jean-Eric Vergne was at the wheel of the STR9 and his day was very much one of two halves – an interesting and productive morning, followed by a frustrating afternoon, with not much running because of a technical problem with the car. The first part of the day saw the Frenchman tackle an aero programme, completing short runs to acquire data for the engineers. The team then worked on two chassis tests aimed at answering questions raised during Sunday’s Grand Prix.
