Lotus debuts 18-inch tyres at Silverstone test

Lotus is the first team to test new 18-inch wheel rims during the second day of the Silverstone in-season test. Whilst they're not yet part of the regulations, Pirelli hopes by showing off what they look like, it might persuade F1 bosses to implement the change for 2017. "It's not in the regulations, it's not going to happen for two or three years, so it's part of enabling people to understand what it would do for the look of the car," said Pirelli motorsport boss Paul Hembery.
