Hamilton buoyed by 'positive' but frustrating Silverstone test

Sutton Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton thinks Mercedes can be encouraged by the results it managed to obtain during the final day of testing at Silverstone despite a day of limited running. Hamilton completed just five laps in the morning session before spinning off at Stowe while on cold tyres, meaning he did not return until the afternoon. He was able to bolster his mileage to 47 laps by the end of the day and, though a late red flag prevented him from completing his later run, Hamilton is happy what he did manage to achieve.
