Pic: 18-inch tyres will be a 'big challenge'

dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.15;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;">   10th July, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Charles Pic says that Pirelli's 18-inch tyre design will provide teams with a big challenge as they will need to build a new car around the tyres.   On the second day of the Silverstone test Pic got behind the wheel of the Lotus E22 and became the first driver to test the 18-inch concept tyres.   In the morning he carried out evaluation tests looking at how the 18-inch tyres affect the cars aerodynamics.   During the afternoon’s running he returned to the 13-inch tyres currently used in Formula One to carry out construction...
