Carlos Sainz Jr has confirmed that Red Bull have spoken with Caterham about securing him a race-seat this season. Although Caterham have Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson as their two drivers, reports earlier this week claimed that Sainz could replace one of the drivers before the season is over. The rumours were strengthened by the link-up between Red Bull and Caterham with the reigning Champs supplying the backmarker outfit with gearboxes.
