Silverstone reports 2015 ticket sales boost

Having heralded this year's British Grand Prix as one of the best and most successful in years, Silverstone is already reporting that tickets for next year's event are already in demand. A hugely successful 50th grand prix at Silverstone attracted the circuit's third-highest race day crowd, who were treated to a 'home' winner as Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag for Mercedes. Despite concerns that the new era of F1, complete with ugly cars and a much-hyped debate over the sound of the latest engines, fans have been quick to snap up tickets for 2015, with first week sales already showing a seven per cent increase compared with the same period in 2013.
