Ecclestone plays down London street race idea

Mark Webber and Red Bull did a show run through London in 2010 Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has warned that a Formula 1 race on the streets of London is not just around the corner. Hopes have been raised by British prime minister David Cameron announcing that major motor races on public roads can now take place with mere local permission. Cameron was speaking at Williams' Grove headquarters, where he officially opened the team's new Advanced Engineering facility.
