Mercedes sure gearbox issue resolved

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes says that the gearbox issue which caused championship leader Nico Rosberg to retire from the British Grand Prix has been identified and a remedy put in place. Rosberg led the race at Silverstone but slowed when his W05 Hybrid encountered a problem and eventually pulled off the circuit to retire for the first time in 2014. "The main priority of the days since has been to understand the gearbox problem we saw with Nico's car and to make sure there is no recurrence moving forwards," said Paddy Lowe, Mercedes's executive director (technical).
