Mass named as Hockenheim driver steward

– Jochen Mass has been confirmed as the FIA's driver representative steward for the German Grand Prix.The German, making his debut in the role, started 104 Formula 1 races from 1973-1982, driving for Surtees, McLaren, ATS, Arrows and March. He claimed eight podiums and one victory, at the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix.After Formula 1, Mass went on to enjoy a successful spell in endurance racing. He took notable victories at the 1985 Circuito del Mugello 1000km, the 1987 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1989.
