In terms of the action on track, Formula One is currently in the rudest of health. We may be experiencing a season of a single dominant team – although the jury is out on that one until the impact of widespread FRIC removal can be assessed – but the quality of racing we've seen this season has been extraordinary. The 2014 season has been characterised by genuine overtaking manoeuvres, wheel-to-wheel battles the length of the grid, struggles of the once-dominant, and impressive results from teams generally considered to be also-rans.
