Lewis Hamilton fastest in FP1 Lewis Hamilton topped the timing screens at the end of the first day of free practice of the German Grand Prix weekend at Hockenheim, ending the session fractionally faster than his teammate, and title rival, Nico Rosberg on a day which saw Mercedes continue to dominate despite the removal of the FRIC suspension system from their almighty W05.
