Massa: Temperature helping Red Bull

Felipe Massa believes Red Bull is being helped by high temperatures at the German Grand Prix and could challenge Mercedes for pole position. Daniel Ricciardo was just 0.1s off the fastest time in FP2 while no other car got within half a second of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. While Massa was pleased with the performance Williams was showing, he told Crash.net after the end of practice that the conditions could help Red Bull get closer to the championship leaders. “I think the temperature maybe helps to be honest,” Massa said. “They have a lot of downforce in the car so for sure they lose a little bit of speed but maybe they use the tyres a little bit better.
