Rosberg wanted 'open fight' with Hamilton

Mercedes AMG Petronas A pleased Nico Rosberg says that his enthusiasm at having claimed pole position for the German Grand Prix was tempered by a brake failure for Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton suffered the failure during the first knockout segment of qualifying and will start from 15th on the grid, while Rosberg will lead the pack away from top spot.
