Vergne handed penalty point on licence

Sutton Images Enlarge Related Links Race: German Grand Prix Jean-Eric Vergne has been handed one penalty point on his super licence for leaving the track and gaining an advantage during the German Grand Prix. During a battle with Romain Grosjean Vergne went off at the exit of Spitzkehre (Turn 6) and then failed to hand back the advantage. The stewards decided this was enough for both a five-second stop-go penalty, which the Frenchman served at his second pit stop, before slapping him with an additional penalty point after the race.
