Vettel: Gap bigger than we had hoped for

Though pleased to qualify on the front row for the Hungarian Grand Prix for only the second time this season, defending F1 champion Sebastian Vettel admits he is slightly disappointed with another substantial gap to pole winner Nico Rosberg in the dominant Mercedes. With Red Bull enjoying a stronger weekend than of late in part because of the higher downforce, lower speed nature of the circuit diluting the advantage of the Mercedes-powered cars, Vettel was left with an ideal shot at the front row when Lewis Hamilton's dramatic exit from qualifying removed the prospect of entire Mercedes dominance.
