Vandoorne takes victory in Hungary sprint race
Sutton Images Enlarge Stoffel Vandoorne won the GP2 sprint race at the Hungaroring from second on the grid, taking victory ahead of series leader Jolyon Palmer and Felipe Nasr in third. Vandoorne started from second on the grid but got a good launch to get ahead of Nathanael Berthon on the run down to the first corner. From third Nasr also managed to get past Berthon into Turn 1, while Palmer made progress in the opening laps to get ahead of Daniel Abt before also passing Berthon. Championship standings Jolyon Palmer 192 pts Felipe Nasr 149 pts Stoffel Vandoorne 109 pts Jonny Cecotto 100 pts Stefano Coletti 96 pts After their close battle in the feature race, Palmer then started spoiling...
