McLaren blames misleading weather forecast for strategy

McLaren saw its hopes for big points fade away early on in the race when the team realised their made a wrong strategy call after getting a prediction for further rain. Still, despite this mishap, Jenson Button saved the day, getting a single point by finishing 10th. A 'misleading weather forecast' prompted the team to remain on Intermediate tyres while the rest of the field pitted behind the Safety Car for Options. With the chance of rain diminishing, both drivers lost ground after pitting for dry-weather tyres – a decision that dictated our performance for the remainder of the grand prix.
