Hungarian Grand Prix: driver of the day
28th July 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - The Hungarian Grand Prix was a corker which again puts me in a tough decision trying to decide who the driver of the day was. The three drivers who finished on the podium are my main contenders: Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. Ricciardo played the long game and was there up with the front runners at the end on fresher tyres and was able to pass them. A few laps before the end of the 70 lap race Ricciardo passed Alonso for the lead and took his second win of the year. Ricciardo has had a strong start to the season in the Red Bull and has outperformed teammate Sebastian Vettel for most of the year. ...
