Buemi stars at Gamma Racing Day
– Red Bull reserve Sébastien Buemi headlined the action at the TT Circuit Assen's Gamma Racing Day.At 11am local time (GMT +1), the Swiss racer completed his first laps of the 4.545-km Dutch track behind the wheel of Red Bull's RB8, the machine Sebastian Vettel used to notch up his third Formula 1 world title in 2012.Having made gradual improvements throughout his first run, Buemi was sent back out just after midday for an attack on the lap record, held by former Toro Rosso team-mate and current IndyCar driver Sébastien Bourdais.Bourdais' time of 1:18.765, set during Champ Car's visit to Assen back in 2007, could not be beaten, with Buemi recording a best effort of 1:21.269.
