Back to work for Bernie after bribery trial comes to a close

Bernie Ecclestone has said that he will not be celebrating the end of his bribery trial in Germany, but instead is focusing on going back to work at the top of Formula 1. The 83-year-old was facing bribery charges in Germany in a lengthy case that came to an abrupt end on Tuesday when he made a $100m payment – as permitted by German law – to bring proceedings to a close. The settlement was without any conviction, and 'the presumption of innocence is still valid' according to his lawyer, Sven Thomas.
