Mallya queries double points rule

Vijay Mallya has questioned the logic behind Formula 1's move to issue double points at the season-ending Abu Dhabi GP. In a bid to make the season more exciting, the powers-that-be decided that double points would be awarded for the final race of this season. That means a victory is worth 50 points, second is 36 points and third is 30 and on it goes. However, given the close battle between Ferrari, Williams, Force India and McLaren, Mallya fears it could easily undo what has been a good season for any one of those teams.
