Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg's friendship has been tested this season Sutton Images Enlarge Mercedes technical chief Paddy Lowe insists the team have made the right decision to allow Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg to race freely this season. The pair have been involved in a fierce rivalry this season - with their friendship being tested - as Mercedes has dominated both drivers' and constructors' championships. Rosberg and Hamilton both left the Hungarian Grand Prix unhappy after the team had told the latter to let his team-mate through when running in third position with 20 laps remaining.
