Newey: Spa 'damage limitation' for Red Bull

Red Bull/Getty Images Adrian Newey has conceded that this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix will be an exercise in damage limitation for reigning world champions Red Bull. The characteristics of Spa-Francorchamps were not expected to suit Red Bull's RB10 and their preparations for this weekend's race were compromised during Friday practice as neither Sebastian Vettel nor Daniel Ricciardo enjoyed a smooth day. Ricciardo was hindered by brake problems in the second practice session, but it was worse for Vettel as engine problems in the first session meant he had to sit out the afternoon running as well.
