Mercedes publishes brake failure findings

Mercedes AMG Petronas Mercedes and brake supplier Brembo has revealed that the quality of the brakes was not a contributing factor in Lewis Hamilton's qualifying crash at July's German Grand Prix. Hamilton crashed out of the session due to a brake issue and started from the back of the grid, from which he recovered to third place. Mercedes and Brembo concluded that the interaction between the brake material and mounting on Hamilton's car was at fault.
