Mercedes reveal findings of Hamilton's brake failure

Mercedes and Brembo have confirmed their findings following an investigation into what happened to Lewis Hamilton's brakes during qualifying for the German Grand Prix. The Briton crashed into the barriers after a right-front brake failed, ruining his chances of securing pole position which went to his team-mate Nico Rosberg. Brembo has ruled out a quality problem and after working through data and simulations, have confirmed the way the disc interacted with the mounting was the blame.
