Alonso: Podium chance wasted by start issue

Scuderia Ferrari Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso says his chance of finishing on the podium at the Belgian Grand Prix was ended when he suffered a technical issue prior to the formation lap. Alonso was left on the jacks as the formation lap got underway and while he was able to assume his fourth place grid slot, he was handed a five second time penalty which dropped him down the order. "Today my race started on the back foot as the car did not fire up and we had to use another battery," he said.
