Double retirement for Lotus in Belgium

SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, August 24th, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Lotus suffered a double retirement at the Belgian Grand Prix when Pastor Maldonado retired with a suspected exhaust problem and Romain Grosjean reported that the car was 'dangerous'.  Grosjean obtained damage after his lap pit stop which meant he lost downforce. The Frenchman told the team that the car felt 'dangerous' and they chose to retire him.    "Unfortunately, he [Grosjean] picked up some damage after his final pit stop which made the car a real handful for him," said Alan Permane, Lotus trackside operations director.    "he radioed in that the car was dangerous, so the only...
