Sebastian Vettel laps new Sochi circuit

Reigning Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel has become the first driver to lap the all new Sochi Autodrom circuit due to host the inaugural Russian Grand Prix in October. The Red Bull Racing driver completed a handful of tours around the new 5.8km Hermann Tilke designed street circuit behind the wheel of an Infiniti Q50 road car. FIA technical delegate Charlie Whiting visited the venue last week where he confirmed that the circuit, constructed on the site used for the 2014 Winter Olympics, has passed all the tests required to host a grand prix. “Having driven the full circuit for the first time in the Infiniti Q50, it’s an interesting layout with a good mix of high speed corners...
