In a private team meeting, one man said something that his colleague interpreted as a confession that he had deliberately avoided avoiding a collision. Or, when treated as a semantic plaything, he had wilfully allowed a collision to take place. Following that meeting, which was not recorded for posterity, there has been all sorts of back and forth in the media between team personnel, drivers, and pundits chipping in with their own two cents.
