Rosberg apologises for Spa contact, Mercedes confirms drivers still free to race

Nico Rosberg has apologised to his team-mate Lewis Hamilton and acknowledged his responsibility for their collision on the second lap of last weekend's Belgian Grand Prix. Mercedes executive directors Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe met with Rosberg and Hamilton earlier today at the team's factory in Brackley to discuss the events of Sunday's race at Spa-Francorchamps. Rosberg made contact with Hamilton at Les Combes as the two battled for the lead on lap two, puncturing the Englishman's tyre and costing Mercedes what could have been a clear one-two finish. In the statement released on Friday, Mercedes confirmed that the two drivers are free to race but further contact will not be tolerated....
