Mercedes announce Pascal Wehrlein as reserve driver

September 15th 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Mercedes have confirmed Pascal Wehrlein as their reserve driver following a test for the team last Thursday. Last Thursday Wehrlein drove Mercedes’ 2012 challenger as part of their Young Driver Evaluation test in Portugal and completed 500 km running. Yesterday the young German made history at the Lausitzring by becoming the youngest ever DTM race winner at 19-years-old. “I was delighted when I learned that I would be completing a Formula One test for MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS in Portimao,” Wehlein said about his test. “It took me a few laps...
