The FIA has issued a technical directive clarifying the kind of messages that will be permitted to be exchanged between the driver and the pit wall over a Grand Prix weekend following its clampdown on radio communications. The sport’s governing body reminded in a ruling last week that the drivers need to drive the cars unaided and should not be fed with information that boosts performances when out on the track.
