Ecclestone wants three-car teams from 2015
+ Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone says three-car teams could soon be a reality in Formula 1.
With a number of teams currently fighting to survive in the sport, the idea of the remaining teams running three cars in 2015 has been raised.
However, while the understanding is that third cars would only be allowed if three of the current 11 teams were to fail to make the grid next season, Ecclestone is keen to go ahead with the plan anyway.
“It's always been on the cards that if we lose up to three teams then the others will run three cars,” Ecclestone said ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.
