Vettel believes pole was within reach

Red Bull/Getty Images Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel was left frustrated after he believed he allowed pole position to slip through his grasp during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. Vettel, who has won the last three editions of the event, set the fourth fastest time, just over two-tenths of a second down on pole sitter Lewis Hamilton. But he reckoned a scruffy lap prevented him from emerging on top. "I’m not happy with that final lap, I was pushing a bit too hard and didn’t get it all together, so I’m not entirely happy, but it is what it is now," he said.
