Button says a mistake cost him Q3

The McLaren driver qualified 11th, missing out on Q3 by 0.017 seconds. Button felt his mistake cost him a top 10 qualifying position but countered that it would have been harder for him to qualifying higher than that. “Not making the cut into Q3 is disappointing, especially considering the strong progress we’d made during Q1,” Button said. “On my final, critical run in Q2, I lost quite a lot of time at the hairpin – I locked up the fronts and ran...
