Sauber cease de Silvestro driving programme

– Sauber have terminated Simona de Silvestro's driving programme due to "financial reasons on her side", the team has confirmed to GPUpdate.net.De Silvestro joined Sauber at the start of the year as an affiliated driver and in April she completed a two-day test at Fiorano with the C31 - Sauber's 2012 Formula 1 car.She then conducted another test at Valencia in June as part of her training with a view to possibly making her Formula 1 race debut with the Swiss team in 2015.She was also expected to drive in the opening Friday practice session at the United States Grand Prix at the end of the month, but the 90-day period in which she could apply for her superlicence has now...
