Kvyat blames high fuel consumption for disappointing home race

dir="ltr" style="line-height:1.15;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;">   October 12th, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Daniil Kvyat says high fuel consumption was to blame for a disappointing result in front of his home crowd. A strong performance in qualifying resulted in the Russian driver starting fifth on the grid.   He struggled with grip in the early stages of the race and then had to begin fuel saving which saw him drop down the order and resulted in him finishing 14th at his home race “It was a tough race,” said Kvyat. “Apart from the fact that I could not find immediately the right grip, we had to care too much about our fuel consumption...
